“It's time to Rock 'n' Roll”
PRESS RELEASE
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
THE DEVIL’S FORFEIT – OUTER LINES
There’s a certain kind of magic that happens when a band doesn’t overthink rock ’n’ roll: when the groove,
grit, and good-time energy come naturally. Edinburgh’s The Devil’s Forfeit have bottled that up and
poured it into Outer Lines, their debut album, out October 24th,2025.
Formed in late 2023, the four-piece have already made their mark with sweat-soaked live sets that
stomp, swing, and snarl in equal measure. Outer Lines captures that same unpolished energy in the
studio, offering twelve tracks steeped in blues swagger and classic rock fire. It’s an album that nods to the
Stones, flirts with Creedence, and tips a hat to Zeppelin, yet stands firmly on its own road-worn feet.
The first single, Session, was released on October 10th, kicking off the album campaign with a gritty,
groove-laden anthem that sets the tone for what’s to come. From the southern bite ofSouthern Style to
the barroom stomp ofFor the Money, and the gritty drive ofPlaying with Fire andDefying Mother,Outer
Lines is built for both the stage and the stereo. The Shakes and Hold Your Breathswing with a vintage
swagger that could’ve been born from a crackling jukebox in some backstreet bar.
Angela Grace leads the charge with a voice that’s all soul and attitude, while Elliot Waugh’s guitar work ties
it all together with riffs that feel raw and instinctive. Holding down the groove, Ricky Nolan Duggan on
bass and Viktor Lisonek on drums keep things tight and rolling with the kind of rhythm that never goes
out of style.
From the full-throttle rush ofRock ’N’ Roll All Night to the wide-open feel of closing track Wander,Outer
Lines is pure, unfiltered rock ’n’ roll. It’sloud, alive, and straight from the heart.
The band will celebrate the release with a launch party at The Banshee Labyrinth in Edinburgh on Friday
1st November, bringing their fiery, riff-driven sound to the capital’s most infamous underground venue.
The Devil’s Forfeit aren’t here to reinvent the wheel, but theyfully intendto spin it fast, kick up dust, and
remind you why rock ’n’ roll still matters.

The Devil's Forfeit
Where the blues meets the Devil at the crossroads!
The Devil's Forfeit are a rock 'n' roll band with dirt under their fingernails and fire in their gut. Hailing from Edinburgh, this four-piece blends the grit of blues with the stomp of classic rock, delivering riff-heavy songs that feel both road-worn and razor-sharp.
Formed in late 2023, The Devil's Forfeit have quickly built a reputation for tight, high-voltage live sets that channel the raw swagger of vintage Stones, the southern bite of Creedence Clearwater Revival and the melodic crunch of early Zeppelin. Their sound is steeped in blues tradition but never stuck in the past- lean, loud and unafraid to swing hard.
Their original material has been called "toe-tapping and delightful" (BluesBlaster UK), while their lead vocals and guitar work are praised as "sensationally strong and unmistakably authentic." Early gigs include support slots for German blues-rock outfit Blue Deal and UK slide-guitar powerhouse Troy Redfern, setting the stage for a breakout year.
With each show, The Devil's Forfeit prove they're not here to chase trends-they're here to play music that moves, grooves and leaves a mark.

Album Reviews
By Darren McIntyre - Jace Music Media
“Pounding bass kicks bring this rocking groover to our attention. Slick, crisp guitar weaves it’s way through the track as Angela comes in with soothing, melodic vocals. The track erupts into life with a killer guitar riff that has soulful basslines for company as this punchy rocker really grabs our attention. The toe tapping harmonies are awesome as the band just delivers track after track. We feel the musicality, maturity oozing from the album as the sweet, almost punky vocals really tell their own story. The rhythm section comes at us with a real solid snare drum punch that brings bass kicks and cymbal crashes that leave their mark on this emotion filled number.”

“The song title that initially caught my eye on the track listing was ‘Knickers’ – what, nae fur coat? It is a lacy and jaunty little piano-led bar room boogie with some fragrant saxophone and lyrics about a “dirty little girl with her knickers in a twist”.
